Takoi is a restaurant in Detroit, Michigan that is inspired by the pantries and markets of Thailand and Southeast Asia. The restaurant began as a food truck in 2014, evolved into an Ann Arbor pop-up and landed as a proper restaurant in March of 2016.
Head chef, Brad Greenhill, reached out to me to create a visual brand identity for the restaurant in 2013. Researching Thai culture and my personal experiences in Detroit, I went down a path of bright colors and textures that fused the two together. Takoi was born.
